A demonstration of creating a simple chakra logo.

CONCEPT

“Chakra” (circle) first emerge within the “Vedas” text the most authoritative Hindu text. The concept behind this logo is the state of the life i.e the birth, learning life sessions and ultimately the death, so i took the the three circles and created this swirl mark using golden ratio to represent the process of life lessions in the simplest form possible. It’s a bit of hard to know the meaning of this logo as i wanted it to be like that for my next brand mark so whatever you have and in this world watch and learn through your perspective and learn from it because “what you are, you are here for purpose”.

Dipesh Chakrabarty, the Lawrence A. Kimpton Distinguished Service Professor of History, South Asian Languages and Civilizations, and the College at the University of Chicago and author of “The Climate of History in a Planetary Age,” participated in a conversation led by Joseph Campana, the Alan Dugald McKillop Professor of English at Rice University and director of the Center for Environmental Studies. The discussion was part of “Cultures of Energy: New Directions in Energy Humanities,” a May 27-28, 2021, symposium sponsored by the Center for Environmental Studies, with support from the Humanities Research Center in the School of Humanities.

Discussion participants also included Rice University’s Cymene Howe, professor of anthropology and Randal L. Hall, the William P. Hobby Professor of American History, both of whom are members of the Center for Environmental Studies faculty steering committee.

Chakras (Sanskrit: चक्र, IAST: cakra, Pali: cakka, lit. wheel, circle) are the various focal points in the subtle body used in a variety of ancient meditation practices, collectively denominated as Tantra, or the esoteric or inner traditions of Indian religion, Chinese Taoism, Tibetan Buddhism, as well as Japanese Esoteric Buddhism, and in postmodernity, in New Age medicine, and originally psychologically adopted to the western mind through the assistance of Carl Jung.The concept is found in the early traditions of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. They are treated as focal points, or putative nodes in the subtle body of the practitioner. These theories differ between the Indian religions, with many esoteric Buddhist texts consistently mentioning five Chakras, while separate esoteric Hindu sources will offer six, or even seven. They are believed to be embedded within the actual physical body, whilst also originating within the context of mental and spiritual fields, or complexes of electromagnetic variety, the precise degree and variety of which directly arise from a synthetic average of all positive and negative so-called “fields”, this eventuating the complex Nadi. Within kundalini yoga breath exercises, visualizations, mudras, bandhas, kriyas, and mantras are focused on transmuting subtle energy through “chakras”.

CHAKRA 101: ENERGY CENTERS IN BODY.
The easiest way to understand is to think of these “energy centers” like pieces of a car engine. All work together, no problems, fully working.
Some go out of balance – others have to pick up the slack. Eventually, cause problems and break down. Same thing with energy centers in your body. We’ll get into each one.

🔴 1. Root Chakra
Location = Base of Spine
Use = Survival + Security (Basic Trust)
BALANCED = Grounded, peace with survival needs/future
BLOCKED = Fear of being on streets, don’t belong in the current house or town or environment, no “home”
OVER active: greed, materialistic, money without healthy intention, prove to others
HOW TO: plants, feet on grass, outside

🟠 2. SACRAL CHAKRA
Location = Navel
Use = Creativity, Sexuality
BALANCED = JOY, pleasure, sexual charge, passion, optimism
BLOCKED = low libido, guilt, unhealthy views around sex
HOW TO: Dancing, Moonlight?

🟡 3. SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA
Location = Six Pack Abs
Use = Wisdom + Power
BALANCED = On purpose, will power, good self-worth
BLOCKED = low self-esteem, submissive, feeling THEM vs. ME
HOW TO: Deep breathwork

🟢 4. HEART CHAKRA
Location = Middle of chest
Use = Regulate Emotion
